Numerous cooperations add to the diversity of classes offered at the Kinderkunsthaus.

Since May 2015, we have had a cooperation with Kunsthalle München, accompanying the Keith Haring exhibition, offering Museum workshops for children and adolescents.

During the annually organised international Munich Creative Business Week (MCBW), we are one of the event locations. One whole week we are working under the motto „design“.

The reading festival Münchner Bücherschau junior is an annual guest at the Kinderkunsthaus with a reading, followed by a creative workshop.

With our initiatior, mixtvision Mediengesellschaft, we cooperate content-wise by organising special events like author readings, reading-aloud days and the playful education in digital media for kids.

Lesefüchse e.V. is one of the biggest reading-aloud initiatives in Germany. They support us with the national reading-aloud day. Alexandra Helmig, the founder of Kinderkunsthaus, is a member of the board of trustees and officiates as a reader for the Lesefüchse several times per year.

We are very glad about the cooperation with the GECKO Kinderzeitschrift – our team was able to contribute to the page „Doing things“ twice! The children’s magazine has a storytelling focus for children from the age of 4 up until school age and is released bi-monthly.

International network

Our partnership with the Children’s museum of the Arts in New York and the Discover Children’s Story Centre in London mean inspiration and exchange for us. We have a joint mission to promote creativity, curiosity and the urge to discover for all children, no matter what their background and nationality may be, in a child appropriate and inspiring atmosphere.
