Dear friends of Kinderkunsthaus,

on Tuesday, June 2, 2020, we opened our creative workshop to visitors again after ten weeks of closure. The much appreciated and cherished freedom we have been enjoying in our house for nine years will unfortunately not be possible for the time being for well-known reasons. Until further notice, the given hygiene measures and requirements apply in the house, including distance rules of at least 1.50 m, compulsory masks and a reduced number of programme offers and visitors in the rooms.

Reopening the Kinderkunsthaus was more complex than closing it. A smaller number of visitors can register for selected programme offerings. We will start with small groups in our 300 sqm workshop. In doing so, we carefully feel our way around and see what we can realize under the given conditions. Our proven team of art and media educators is working flat out to create an offer for the ‘New Normality’ for you and your children in the house. Since mid-March, our team has also been providing a large community throughout Germany with DIY and creative activities free of charge on our social media channels on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. We communicate all current and new program information via our website, our newsletter and our social media channels.

The Kinderkunsthaus is largely financed by private donations. Income from admission fees, course offerings, shop sales, etc. complement our extensive program. Due to the closure since mid-March, this additional income is missing. Therefore we are grateful to be allowed to reopen at least to a limited extent. And so every booking and every donation from you is a small contribution to the continuation of the non-profit Kinderkunsthaus. Many thanks for your support in our return to ‘New Normal’.

We are very happy to welcome you back again. We wish you and your families good health and thank you for your trust and understanding.

Very sincerely
